We were the successful public bidder for the construction of the Miller Richardson Football Fields in Coventry, CT. We constructed an access road to a half-acre parking area, along with two football fields—a main playing field and a practice field. We also installed the goal posts, score board, conduits and central utility building.
The project was constructed on top of the town’s closed landfill. Because of this, a high-visibility isolation layer between the landfill cover and the fields was necessary.
The existing topsoil was stock piled and reused after approximately 14,000 yards of fill was imported to bring the fields up to grade. The final step was to laser grade within 1/4 inch then hydroseed.
